Oh Lord I pray,
That you keep us safe both night and day.
That you guide us along our way,
To help touch others with what we say.
Your mercy and grace to none compare,
You're always with us, we should not despair.
When times are troubling and weigh us down,
Just keep thinking that we're heaven bound.
I pray that you give us the wisdom we need.
To follow your word and hold this creed.
To speak kindly of others and not to judge,
To see the good in all and not hold a grudge.
Give us the knowledge to know when to speak,
Or when to bite our tongues and unto you seek.
Let us not be distracted by any earthly thing.
But let your loving words in our ears ring.
It is seen in so many places,
The love for you, our Lord, in Christian faces.
There is no mistake Lord, when someone knows of you,
Comfort and peace surrounds them like mourning dew.
Let us be happy in our joys.
Like a child playing with new toys.
Let us understand our pain,
Sometimes so great, we struggle to stay sane.
Please let us not take for granted our families and friends.
Let us show them our love and make amends.
Let us not say a harsh word for it may not be taken back.
Let caring words be spoken even if we feel under attack.
Each day and night let us pray.
To thank you for your blessings every day.
Let us be aware of the many blessings both great and small,
You bestow upon us even when we do not call.
My body tingles and hairs stand on end,
When your Holy Spirit to me you send.
I ask for the wisdom to see everyday,
Each miracle you send along my way.
I ask that you keep me humble and alsways obey
And on your path I will always stay.
Help us to lead others to you,
By helping us know what to do.
There are so many that we want to see,
Bowing before you on bended knee.
For us all to be reunited before your throne,
Not sparing a person here we've known.
We thank you Lord for giving your son,
To an earth that sin almost won.
Through his selfless act our sins are forgiven.
And once again we will see him in heaven.
Never let it go a day dear Lord, that we don't let you know.
How much we thank you and love you so.
For all you give us and all you do,
It is our honor to worship you.
