In this day of everyone doing what is right in his or her own eyes, we need to remind ourselves constantly that God's works will remain and man's works will be lost. We cannot trust in man. Men are bent on doing evil continually. In today's world things are so confusing that everything that was once considered evil is now considered good. The good is considered to be evil. We are blindly following a path of destruction. The family is being torn apart. The fear of God is no longer an influence in society. If we keep going in this downhill trend, lawlessness will prevail and from there, a dictatorship will arise to solve the problem of lawlessness. People will welcome it and thereby the freedoms we once enjoyed will be lost. Democracy is by far the best government but in order for it to work, there has to be moral restraints in place to keep it from turning into an anarchy. Freedom is good but there is always a chance of being free do to evil as well as good.

So many in our own nation fear what they call the religious right. They are afraid that they might force everyone to be Christians and take over the government. Naturally I too would be against any religious body taking over the government. I think those kind of fears are groundless though. I see a greater threat and that is casting God completely out of our society and thereby having no basis of right and wrong. Without moral restraints nothing is wrong.

Look at the trend from 1962. First the Supreme Court rules that bible reading and prayer were unconstitutional in public schools. Immediately after that took place we had the assassination of John Kennedy, the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., race riots, the assassination of Bobby Kennedy. In the 70s things got worse. Abortion was ruled legal and it became legal for women to murder their own babies. We had war protesters, more rioting, the drug problem among the youth increased in alarming numbers.

Lack of the fear of God was prevailing.

Now we have a generation who thinks it strange and even dangerous to even contemplate having prayer in school. The bible is considered a myth. There is no fear of God. Those who protest abortion is considered evil. Homosexuals are presented as normal and those that oppose that are considered bigots. Everything is the opposite of what God teaches in His word. Of course many do not even believe the bible is the word of God anymore. Nothing is absolute and we face chaos in the future without returning to the God we have forsaken.

When God was forced out of schools, the devil walked in. We had a series of school shootings where some schools now have to have security guards to protect the children. Until America quits fearing the so called religious right and starts fearing God again, we will continue downhill with no hope. God's hand of protection will be removed. He doesn't go where He is not wanted. Without God we will have no nation.

That is exactly what is happening today. People speak with a stiff neck and a hardened heart.

By the word of God we stand as a nation or fall. We have no hope outside of Him. We need Him more than anything.

God will not let evil continue. If we choose to ignore God and continue in our own ways that is right in our own eyes, we will face destruction as a nation.

Those that are wicked will be destroyed and those that follow God and cleave to His righteousness shall remain. Evil will not prevail. It looks bad now but God is our hope and strength, God will not forsake those that are faithful to Him and that accept His Son, Jesus and the way of salvation.
